A not-so happy-post about stress

Have you ever felt like there was never enough time to get it all done?

Have you ever felt like there is constantly "one more thing" that is added to your list and you really have no idea when you'll get to it?

Have you ever felt like schedule changes happen and you know what you thought you were going to accomplish gets pushed back yet another day?

Have you ever felt you are running out of days?

Have you ever felt like the stress you have feeds the stress at home and in your classroom?

Have you ever felt that stress is really created by yourself and the demands and expectations you have of yourself are ridiculous but really they aren't because you know it is what is best for kids?

Have you ever felt like there is no way you will remember one more thing so you start to write them on your hand? ( I know that is bad)

Well, I felt like that today. I want it to go away.

I am sure it will be better tomorrow but it just felt good to vent.

happy Tuesday...blah ( I even had Monday off to catch up)

Hello - I've been feeling the same lately and too often. This school year is really hitting me hard. I am trying my best to stay upbeat, but there are some days..... I'm
sooooooo stressed out!

Do they realize what they're doing to us? And you are so right; a lot of this is self-inflicted!

Hang in there! There are days we wonder who signed us up for this superwoman gig....

Hug your kids, accomplish what you can, and remember those who matter love you. Period.

The Lit Conference inspires bouts of the crazies...another reason I opted out this year!

See you soon~

Cassy-
Glad to know it is not just me. I know over half ( or more) is stress I place on myself!!

Andrea-
Jealous about your opting out. I just read to my K son and already feel better.

Thanks ladies!

I almost always feel like this with a Monday off. I feel like I spend the rest of the week scrambling to catch up. I think we should always have Fridays off instead!

Katie- I can hear the clock ticking LOUDLY. Will I get everthing done?! We must go OUT to lunch today. Even though we are always stressed about making it back to school in time, going out for lunch always makes us feel better! Food and friend therapy...

In a word,

YES.

And the other word, the word verification word is

hoosch

That should be the sound your deep breath makes when it comes out. When you hear the hoosch, make sure it comes with a little relaxation in the shoulders, and a smile (fake or not, smiling helps your brain relax. It's true. I heard it on Oprah.)

hoosch

and once more for good measure

hoosch

Totally agree with you Katie -- stress has been my middle name lately. I really need to learn to lessen the stress.

I love what ML had to say -- and if she heard it on Oprah, it's good enough for me!! :)

So, all together -- "hoosch"

I feel better already :)
