Your room looks so inviting and speaks volumes about you as a teacher! I could make a list of what you value just from the shared photos. Enjoy the new year! Andrea
Love your room and all the opportunities you have give kids to surround themselves in books! Where did you get the white shelf with the square shelves and the Scardey Squirrel stand up? He's adorable!
It was fun to see glimpses of your classroom. I liked how you used Voice Thread. I had not heard of it before I saw Stenhouse use it for a discussion about current events. I had not thought about how I could use it on my own blog and embed pictures in. I am glad that you introduced me to new possibilities!
I hope that you were able to be "Up to your ears" in family this weekend. This summer I went to the school to work quite a few days with the hope that I could lay the foundation for the year and not have to spend weekends at the school.
gosh all your books look so inviting! I will be teaching 2nd grade starting Tuesday, i've taught 1st grade for the last 20 years. I am a paper crafter and have found lots of ways to bring that into my classroom! Here is my latest post about my new book basket labels http://muffinsmemoirs.blogspot.com/2009/08/few-projects-for-school.html
